3/22/2021 0 Comments Do you know why you're here?
Have you ever noticed that when you know what you're supposed to do, and you're good at it, you feel like time stands still? It's like the reason why you were born suddenly makes sense. Some of us know this feeling and many of us are still lost in this regard. How do you go about finding your purpose and why you're here?
My belief is that we make things more complicated than they need to be, especially when we're talking about our purpose. Maybe you're like me and you think that your purpose has to be BIG and EARTH SHATTERING. Like finding the cure to cancer or solving the climate crisis. I have discovered that this is not my purpose. My purpose is to leave things and people better than I found them, and I can do that in any number of ways. None of them are exactly earth shattering but I do feel like I am making a difference in everything I do.
I discovered my purpose when I shifted my perspective. This may help you too: Your purpose may not be what you do but who YOU ARE. Now, when I find good advice or something amazing that someone has said to me I like to share it. Here's a video from Marie Forleo, Soul-Centered Entrepreneur, that puts advice on how to find your purpose much better than I could ever write it:
This may not give you the quick answer you want, but it will lead you down the right path. And guess what? Your purpose is a quest to find out who you really are and then live that fully in our crazy world. Not so easy. But when you do it, you start to feel that flow, like time standing still.
Peace, love & yoga,
